The Scenario Analysis assistant allows you to test how one or many assets have historically performed during any customized scenario. Terminal identifies all previous instances of the scenario you outline, builds an aggregate return profile, and highlights the best and worst performers.
Scenario Analysis in Alfred
To run a Scenario in Alfred, you need to specify the following:
- an asset or subset of assets
- a metric (financial metric or an event)
- a condition (crosses above/crosses below/above/below/falls by/rises by/falls by level/rises by level)
- a condition value (dependent on the metric you are running)
- a timeframe (days, weeks, months, etc).
Scenario Analysis in Screener
You can also run a Scenario Analysis directly on a Screen. Toggle from Screener to Scenario in the Screening tab and explore how your Screen or Watchlist react to macro events, changes in rates, asset moves and more. Read more about how Screener works.
