How do I import my watchlist from Bloomberg?

We designed the Toggle Terminal with user convenience in mind, ensuring that transferring your Bloomberg watchlist is as straightforward as possible. 

Exporting Your Watchlist from Bloomberg

To export your watchlist in Bloomberg, follow these steps:

1. Open the Bloomberg Launch Pad (BLP):

   • Access your Bloomberg dashboard.

2. Select 'Monitor':

   • Navigate to the section where your watchlist is displayed.

3. Click 'Download':

   • This will export your watchlist into a file.

4. Open the File in Excel:

   • The downloaded file will be in a format compatible with Excel.

5. Copy the List of Tickers:

   • Highlight the list of tickers and copy them.

Importing Your Watchlist into the Toggle Terminal

Now that you have your tickers ready, importing them into the Toggle Terminal is quick and easy:

1. Access the Watchlist Widget in the Dashboard or Watchlist Page in the Terminal:

   • From here, you can manage your watchlists.

2. Create a New Watchlist:

   • Select the option to create a new watchlist.

3. Paste the List of Tickers and Submit:

   • Simply paste your copied tickers into the new watchlist and submit.

4. Let the Machine Map Each Asset for You:

   • The system will automatically map each ticker to the corresponding asset in our database.

Adjusting Mappings and Adding Missing Assets

In case any assets are incorrectly mapped, it’s easy to correct them:

• Remove Incorrectly Mapped Assets:

  • Delete the assets that don’t match.

• Search and Add the Correct Asset:

  • Use the search function to find the correct asset by its full name and add it to your watchlist.
